Cadarga is a beautiful property in the Western Down region of Queensland, with a rich diversity of ecosystems including heavily treed forest country, vast paddocks of rich loamy Monogorilby scrub, and the meandering waterway and deep waterholes of Cadarga Creek.

The property is also home to some of the biggest Queensland Bottle Trees that we have ever seen!

Grandad Otto and Grandma Joyce started farming cattle back in the 1950s at North Arm, on the Sunshine Coast.  In 1988, the business moved to Cadarga and the next generation, Mark and Maree Rosier, moved into the old one-room Drover's Hut and started the hard work of establishing a productive farm.

But tragedy struck in 2009 when Mark was killed in an accident.

Dan, the eldest of Mark and Maree's 5 children, stepped in and helped run the farm at age 17.

We, Dan Rosier and Lucy Chandler, are the current generation of farmers at Cadarga. We met in 2018, and quickly knew that we wanted to raise a family on Cadarga. We now have two daughters, Flossy and Annie, who are living a dream childhood on the land.

As the saying goes ‘Every family needs a farmer’ and we love that we are the farmers in our family, continuing to keep our country fed!

Our Beef

Our beef is grass fed and grass finished which we believe gives you the best flavour.

Grass fed beef not only tastes better, but it also has more nutritional benefits than grain fed.

There are no added hormones, no growth hormones and a whole range of good fats.

All our beef has been born and bred here at Cadarga. We know exactly where our cattle have been their whole life, what they have eaten and how they have been treated. We pride ourselves on ethically handling and naturally fattening our cattle.
